This EP was created between Istanbul and Berlin in January 2021, generously supported and made possible by Goethe Institut.

The start of the pandemic and the following closure of all cultural spaces and shut down of all cultural activities in the physical realm, had an ever growing impact on my life and creative output/motivation, that I only got slowly aware of. Being restricted to screens and words for exchange, sounded, in the beginning, easier and more normal than it turned out to be. Even though institutions tried to maintain a sense of normalcy in curating and facilitating streamed concerts and talks, I found it extremely difficult to connect with the art/music being presented in these formats and especially difficult to connect to other people over the artifical boundaries of social media and video based mediums.

This collaborative EP was a trial, one that gave us the opportunity to re-think collaboration and working together with others.
Getting rid of improvisation and spontaneous reacting to each other, we had to develop trust and patience and through this process found a mutual language and created something that we wouldn't have been able to create in that way ourselves or while being in the same space.

We would like to thank Pınar, Paçi, Florian, Bossi and Henrik and of course Goethe Institute for their help, work and support throughout.
